Current Issue - Winter 2012

Welcome to our Winter 2012 issue!

Let’s begin with our cover story, Jami Lynn. Jami hails from the eastern side of the state but decided to make the Hills her home about a year ago. We’re pretty sure we won’t be able to keep a talent like hers around for long, however . . .  Other stories include furniture mogul Don Perdue and his wife Joan; international dance sensation from Great Britain, Lia Malcolm; mountain climber, philosopher and woodworker Eric Sutton; National Guardswoman Marcia Hento from Pringle and father/son barbers from Spearfish, Mark and Marc Casavan.  Some of these stories were written by contributing writers Kaija Swisher, Amy Kirk, Renee Mesteth and Chris Pelczarski. You will also want to pick up the magazine to read Ad Lib blurbs on the more than 60 advertisers (in addition to checking out their ads). We will be hosting a “Meet the Faces” evening on Friday, March 16, 2012, from 5-8 p.m. at our office, 516 Sixth Street (inside James Van Nuys Gallery). This will include folks from the last six issues—so come on down for live music and lively conversation!
